Tummy tuck
Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure in which excess fat and sagging skin are removed from the middle and lower regions of the stomach and the muscles are stretched.
Surgical Methods
The shaping of the stomach wall is achieved by removing fat (liposuction or laser lipolysis) or tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) depending on the amount of fat, sagging, and skin elasticity.
Abdominoplasty operations are divided into two; full (full tummy tuck) and mini (mini tummy tuck).
Mini Abdominal Lift: It is the removal of excess skin and fat only in the lower abdomen. The effects of surgery are particularly evident in people who are not medically obese, and therefore it is the preferred option.
Full Abdominoplasty: Excess fat is removed from the entire stomach and hips; Excess skin is removed from under the stomach and the stomach muscles under the tight skin are repaired. This is a solution for stubborn fat areas.
Recovery Period
There may be swelling and pain for a few days after tummy tuck surgery. Drains are removed 1-3 days after the operation, and stitches are removed 1-3 weeks later. You will need to stay in the hospital for 2 days. You can return to work 2-4 weeks after the surgery. Full recovery takes between 9 months and 1 year.
