Tummy tuck

Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure in which excess fat and sagging skin are removed from the middle and lower regions of the stomach and the muscles are stretched.

Surgical Methods

The shaping of the stomach wall is achieved by removing fat (liposuction or laser lipolysis) or tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) depending on the amount of fat, sagging, and skin elasticity.

Abdominoplasty operations are divided into two; full (full tummy tuck) and mini (mini tummy tuck).

Mini Abdominal Lift: It is the removal of excess skin and fat only in the lower abdomen. The effects of surgery are particularly evident in people who are not medically obese, and therefore it is the preferred option.

Full Abdominoplasty: Excess fat is removed from the entire stomach and hips; Excess skin is removed from under the stomach and the stomach muscles under the tight skin are repaired. This is a solution for stubborn fat areas.

Recovery Period

There may be swelling and pain for a few days after tummy tuck surgery. Drains are removed 1-3 days after the operation, and stitches are removed 1-3 weeks later. You will need to stay in the hospital for 2 days. You can return to work 2-4 weeks after the surgery. Full recovery takes between 9 months and 1 year.

F.A.Q

Abdominoplasty or liposuction?

Patients with loose skin in the lower abdomen are those receiving abdominoplasty. If the patient has an accumulation of unwanted adipose tissue in this area and significantly preserved skin elasticity, then liposuction may be sufficient.

Can a tummy tuck be performed in combination with other procedures?

Abdominoplasty can be combined with other procedures such as breast augmentation, breast augmentation, or liposuction of another part of the body. This combined surgical intervention creates a complete change of the patient we call - Complete Change of Mother

Are there any scars left in tummy tuck surgery?

Unfortunately, scars are an inevitable result of any invasive procedure. The scars are carefully masked under the underwear for the greatest comfort of the patients. For ladies with a cesarean section, the scar will remain the same size. Most patients feel the physical and emotional change after surgery as a major benefit and the scars as a secondary effect. Surgeons are trying to minimize post-operative scars.

What happens in a subsequent pregnancy?

For optimal results, it is advisable for ladies not to plan a subsequent pregnancy. This step is the key to preserving postoperative results. For further information about whether the pregnancy would be a problem in your case, we recommend that you consult with our plastic surgeons.
